West Lothian Young Carers Partnership

Hi there!  We're a group of young carers who live in West Lothian. This means we care for someone in our family who suffers from a disability, is ill, has a mental health problem, is infirm or is affected by a drug or alcohol problem.

We have designed this website so you could hear about us, what we do and to know a little bit more about what it means to be a young carer.  We have two workers whose job is to develop a service for young carers in West Lothian.   They provide individual support and group work, advocate for young carers on their behalf, identify hidden young carers and raise the awareness of young carers and their issues.

We received Big Lottery funding to identify young carers and are currently delivering PSE classes in secondary schools.
